Trouble Tickets will display ARERR[1200]. The solution is to do the
following steps after modifying the SPECTRUM password.
NT
--
1) Verify the SPECTRUM user's home folder is $SPECROOT/
ars_gateway.
2) From the start menu run Action Request System @4.0/Remedy
User. Login using the SPECTRUM user and new password.
3) $SPECROOT/ars_gateway/ar.ini has now been updated with the
new password.
Solaris
-----
1) Open a term window.
2) export ARHOME=$SPECROOT/ars_gateway (make sure
SPECROOT is defined).
3) From the term window run /usr/ar/bin/aruser
4) login to aruser using the SPECTRUM user and new password.
5) configuration for the SPECTRUM home directory has been updated
with the new password.
6) Close the term window.
7) Update System Path Environment Variable.
On NT only. Make sure your system Path environment variable
contains the Remedy installation path. If this is not set properly then
both the automatic and the manual submits will fail to submit trouble
tickets.
8) Manual Submit Problem.
On NT Only. This was an existing 5.0rev1 issue found during our
testing but was not documented in the 5.0rev1 documentation. If the
probable cause text is too long then the submit fails. For example an
alarm with probable cause ID of 0x00011dae reports an error stating
that the required field Probable Cause was not set. This happens
