SPECTRUM_5.0rev1.P80
The problem was there was some difficulty running AR System
Gateway 5.0rev1 with Remedy's new 4.0 version. Several issues were
addressed and the particulars are written below.
For NT Only. The version of runmacro.exe and rcmn40.dll shipped
with this product is 4.0.
For Solaris only. The automatic Trouble Ticket Generator (arsgated) is
linked with AR System 3.2 APIs.
This patch was developed and tested with NT and Solaris AR System
4.0.2. The Solaris aradmin version used is 3.2 and the Solaris aruser
used is 4.0.1.
2) Reconfig Tool Workaround.
For NT Only. When using the reconfig tool if the AR System is
installed in the default directory c:\Program Files\Remedy (this
contains a space) then enter c:\Progra~1\Remedy when prompted for
the AR System installation directory.
3) Filter Obsolete.
The SpectrumSubmitAlert filter is now obsolete.
4) arsgated Submit Trouble Ticket status.
For NT Only. When running the arsgated from a SpectroSHELL you
will see the runmacro version number and copyright printed out when
each trouble ticket is submitted. With AR System 3.2 the trouble
ticket number and alarm id was displayed. This isn't true for AR
System 4.0.
5) Manual Submit Trouble Ticket Status.
When manually submitting trouble tickets if there is an error the
error will be displayed, if it is successful then on NT the runmacro
version number and copyright will be displayed and on Solaris
"Trouble Ticket Submitted." will be displayed.
6) Changing the SPECTRUM user's Password.
If you change the SPECTRUM user's password or set Prompt for
Login then Submit Trouble Ticket will return ARERR329 and Show
