IF Information View
Access: From the Icon Subviews menu for the
SSA_DS0App Application icon, select IF Information.
This view contains the IF Table, which supplies
the following information.
IfIndex
A unique value that identifies the interface.
IfDescr
A description of the interface, including the name
of the manufacturer, the product name, and the
version of the interface hardware/software.
Type
The type of interface. Possible values are:
ethernet, sonet, etc...
Mtu
The size of the largest packet (in octets) that can
be sent/received on the interface.
Speed
An estimate of the interface’s current bandwidth,
in bits per second.
PhysAddress
The interface's address at its protocol sub-layer.
AdminStatus
The desired state of the interface. Possible values
are: up, down, dormant, testing, unknown.
OperStatus
The current operational state of the interface.
LastChange
The value of “sysUpTime” at the time the interface
entered its current operational state.
InOctets
The total number of octets received on the
interface, including framing characters.
InUcastPkts
The number of packets, delivered by this sub-
layer to a higher (sub-)layer, that were not
addressed to a multicast or broadcast address at
this sub-layer.
InDiscards
The number of inbound packets that were chosen
to be discarded even though no errors had been
detected to prevent their delivery to a higher-layer
protocol. One possible reason for discarding such
a packet could be to free up buffer space.
InErrors
For packet-oriented interfaces, the number of
inbound packets that contained errors preventing
them from being deliverable to a higher-layer
protocol. For character-oriented or fixed-length
interfaces, the number of inbound transmission
units that contained errors preventing them from
being deliverable to a higher-layer protocol.
