hwType {hwEntry 2}
Integer Read-Only
The module type of the slot’s most recent occupant since the unit was started.
The values for hwType correspond to the values for hwPortType (defined later),
and are defined as follows:
• vacant (1) - slot is not occupied
• unknown (2) - reserved
• packet-processing-engine (3) - Packet Processing Engine
• turbo (4) - Turbo Processor
• csma-iom (5) - Ethernet/802.3 IOM
• hssi-iom (6) - HSSI IOM
• tpr-iom (7) - Token Passing Ring IOM
• fddi-iom (8) - FDDI IOM
• ifddi-iom (9) - Intelligent FDDI IOM
• ttpr-iom (10) - Turbo Token Passing Ring IOM, e.g., the QTIOM
hwUseMod {hwEntry 3}
Integer Read-Write
Whether to use this module, not applicable for the Packet Processing Engine. The
value of hwUseMod is not saved if the unit reboots (see rebootUseMod). If the
module fails diagnostics, it will not be used, regardless of hwUseMod. Possible
values include:
• reset (1) - do not use the module (keep it in reset) -before a module is hot
swapped, it must be put into this state.
• run-diagnostics (2) - do not use the module (run diagnostics; after diagnostics
complete, keep the module in reset and automatically set hwUseMod to 1)
• run (3) - use the module
