Sound on Redirected Remote Display No
Longer Supported
The ability to use sound in the Alarm Manager application when it is
remotely displayed on any host other than the host system Alarm
Manager is installed on is no longer supported in SPECTRUM 6.5.
Turning Device Polling Off
With the release of SPECTRUM 6.0.3 and 6.5, when you set a device's
Polling Interval to zero (0) its Polling Status will automatically be set to
False in the Model Information View. Thus polling on the device will be
turned off.
In both SPECTRUM 6.0.3 and 6.5, setting the device's Polling Status to
False will turn polling off.
However, in SPECTRUM 6.0.2 (and prior releases) setting the Polling
Interval and Polling Status at the same time will not turn off polling.
SPECTRUM patches are available for this problem.
If you have upgraded from SPECTRUM 6.0.0, 6.0.1 or 6.0.2 to
SPECTRUM 6.0.3/6.5 and the model has Polling Interval set to zero and a
Polling Status set to True, it is not guaranteed the device will not be polled
since polling is now solely controlled by the Polling Status attribute.
