Management Module SRN 6.0 Rev 0 Page 48
Common Anomalies - SmartSwitch 9000/9500
The following affect two or more management modules and the associated
devices.
Corrected Anomalies:
1 9F426-02 and 9A426-02 device Transparent Bridging Port tables
show appropriate MIB-II Interface statistics. In the Chassis Device
view of a 9000 device, the ports update when you change the Port
Display. If you navigate to the Physical Device view and change Port
Display, the Operational Status, Type, and Interface Number fields
show appropriate information.
Known Anomalies:
Problem 1: Currently, you can create SmartSwitch 9000 models in
Location or Organization views, even though a Contains relation cannot be
established with the SmartSwitch chassis model, and the models do not
show up in the Device view of the SmartSwitch.
Solution: Do not create any SmartSwitch 9000 models in the Location or
Organization views; instead create the model in the Topology view and then
copy the device icon from the Universe Topology view into the Location
view. The SmartSwitch chassis model has a Container view which contains
Location view icons for all modeled SmartSwitch modules. This ensures
that the proper relationship between the models exists.
Problem 2: The modeled SFSmartCell’s model state (which appears in the
Model Information view) never changes to “Active”.
Solution: Paste the 9A656 model type into the Container view of the
device’s chassis.
Problem 3: 9E42x-x and 9H42x-xx device Transparent Bridging Port
tables show no MIB-II Interface statistics for Port In Frames, Port Out
Frames, and Port In Discards.
Solution: This will be addressed in a future release.
