Token Ring Security Configuration View
This view provides information on the security configuration for the ring. To access this view click the Ring
Security (page 73) button in the Token Ring Configuration View (page 73).
Ring Name
Displays the ASCII name assigned to this ring.
This name defaults to Network n, where n is a
unique integer value.
Ring Number
Displays the number of the attached ring. If
SPECTRUM cannot determine the number of the
ring, a zero is returned.
Ring Status
Displays the operational state of the ring.
Ring Speed
Displays the speed of the ring, which can have a
value of 4 or 16 megabits.
Administration State
EnabledWithAlarm - generates an alarm upon
insertion of an illegal station into the ring.
EnabledWithRemoveAndAlarm - generates an
alarm and also removes the illegal station from
the ring. Selecting Disabled turns off security.
Total Allowed Stations
Displays the total number of stations in the
Allowed Stations list.
