The Network Tools functions are performed using a series of commands.
Entering commands in Network Tools involves typing the command to be
executed at the Network Tools prompt, adding any desired or required
extensions, and pressing ENTER. For detailed information, see the
applicable Local Management User’s Guide.
1.27.1 Built-in Command
The built-in command listed in this section activates a new function on the
managed module being accessed through Network Tools.
cdp:
Syntax: cdp [enable/disable/status]
Description: Allows management of Cabletron Discovery Protocol
(CDP) on this module. This protocol is used by a network
device to discover other neighboring network devices and
establish the topology of the network fabric. This protocol
can also be used by a network device to propagate specific
information to neighboring network devices. The user
may enable, disable, or see the current status of CDP.
Options: Not Applicable
