Figure 1-1 shows the front panel of the Cabletron Systems SmartSTACK
ELS100-S24TX2M. Table 1-1 defines the ELS100-S24TX2M front panel
components.

Name Function
Power LED Lights steady green to indicate power is supplied to the
switch. Off indicates no power is supplied to the switch.

Mgmt LED Lights steady to indicate that a Management Module is

Mbps link, off indicates no link; and flashing indicates
th at the port ha s b een man ua lly d isable d.
Mod e LEDs The Mo de S elect butt on se lects th e LE D disp lay mode .

FDX: Lights steady to indicate full-duplex operation.
Flow Ctrl: Lights steady t o indicate that flow control is
e nab led for t he port.
Module LEDs Status: Indicates a module is installed in the slot.
Act ivity: Flashing indicates act ivity on the module.
Switch ID LCD LCD displays the stack ID number of the switch.
