12.0 Logistical Checks
It is very important to check data before attempting to route cables. The reports in this section are
designed to identify errors, inconsistencies and missing critical data.

12.1 Report A1 - Missing Critical Cable Type
This report examines the CableType table for the following errors:
•
Number of cable jackets not input
• Number of conductors not input
• Conductor Size not input or not defined in project data
• Diameter not input
• Override cable area not input And Ground Conductor=’Y’
• Permissible segregation codes not input
This data is used in connection with Report A3 (see below).
12.2 Report A2 - Missing or Invalid Cable Type in Cable Data
This report examines the Cable Data table and finds cables that do not have cable type input or if the
cable type is not input in the Cable Type table. In addition, this report, identifies cables that use cable
types which have are missing valid conductor size data. The report is used for a quick check for this
crucial data.
