4.6 Raceway Types and Cable Segregation Rules
Raceway types must begin with the words ‘COND’ or ‘TRAY SOLID’, ‘TRAY VENTED’, ‘TRAY
WIREWAY’ or ’TRAY LADDER’. Other types include ‘DROP OUT’, ‘AIR WAY’ or ‘GUIDE
CONDUIT’ which have special meaning to CableMatic. When inputting ‘TRAY something’
include the height and material eg: TRAY SOLID 6G, TRAY VENTED 4G, etc. The comma
delimited list of permissible cable segregation codes is used by CableMatic to report erroneous
use of of a raceway type. Whereas an error will not inhibit routing, this check may be important for
your project. Useable height is used for tray fill calculations.
