3.6 Troubleshooting Notes
GENERAL
Install the latest drivers from www.cablematters.com if your computer
does not recognize the adapter.
How to check if your computer recognizes the adapter:
Windows 10: Search Device Manager > Display adapters > USB3 to HDMI
Windows XP/7/8: Control Panel > Device Manager > USB Display Adapters
> USB3 to HDMI
Mac: About this Mac > System Report > USB > USB 3.0 Bus > USB3.0 to
HDMI Adapter
CABLING
 Check that all cable and adapter connections are secure
 Use a USB 3.0 extension cable in place of a long (>6’) HDMI cable
 Test the cable and adapter with a different computer or port on the
computer
