5. Safety Information
Please read the operating instructions completely before commissioning. They contain important
information for correct operation.
The product must only be installed in your electrical installation via a corresponding specialist.
There is a fatal danger from electrical shock in case of improper work at the mains voltage!
In case of damage caused by non-compliance with these operating instructions, the warranty/guar-
antee will expire. We do not assume liability for any consequential damage.
Nor do we assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper use or
failure to observe the safety instructions. In such cases the warranty/guarantee will expire.
• Ensure proper commissioning of the system. Observe the operating instructions for it.
• Consultanexpertwhenindoubtastotheoperation,thesafetyortheconnectionofthesystem.
• Whenhandlingproductsthatmaycomeintocontactwithelectricvoltage,observethevalidVDEregula-
tions,especiallyVDE0100,VDE0550/0551,VDE0700,VDE0711andVDE0860.
• A device for all-pin separation from the mains voltage must be provided on the installation side (e.g. FI
circuit breaker).
• Themodulemustonlybeoperatedafterithasbeeninstalledtouch-proof.
• Thepower/voltagemustbeswitchedoffintheinstallationareawheninstalling.Allwiringworkmustbe
performedwiththevoltage/powerswitchedoff.
• Beforeeachsetup,checkyourproductanditscablesfordamage.Ifitcanbeassumedthatsafeopera-
tionisnolongerpossible,thedevicemustbeturnedoffandprecautionsaretobetakentoensurethatit
isnotusedunintentionally.Itcanbeassumedthatsafeoperationisnolongerpossibleif:
- the product is visibly damaged
- the product no longer functions
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions for an extended period of time or
- if it was subjected to heavy stress during transport.
• Allsystemcomponentsleftthefactoryinperfectconditionintermsofsafetyengineering.Theusermust
observe the safety instructions and warnings contained in these operating instructions to preserve this
condition and to ensure safe operation.
• This partial product isequipped with highlyintegrated components. Electroniccomponents are very
sensitivetoelectrostaticdischarge.Therefore,pleasedonottouchanymetalcontactsandinparticular
no plug sockets.
• Theproductmustnotbecomedamporwet.
• Donot expose thedevice toany hightemperatures, dripping orsplashing water, heavymechanical
stress or strong vibrations.
• Donotoperatetheproductinroomsorunderunfavourableconditionswherecombustiblegases,va-
poursordustareormaybepresent.Thereisadangerofexplosion!
• For safety and licensing reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modication of the system is not
permitted.
