b) SIM Card Insertion
TheSIMcardwiththePINnumber„1513“mustbeinsertedintheintendedSIMcardholder.
 ThemodulecanbesuppliedviatheUSBsocketfortherstconguration.Note,thatnotthecomplete
GSM-functions are available via USB.
Afterconnectionofthevoltagesupply,themodulewillstartupautomatically.AfterinsertingtheSIMcard,thethe
GSMLEDislit(networksearch);afterafewseconds,theGSM-LEDshouldstartashing(networkfound,device
ready for operation).
IftheGSMLEDdoesnotstarttoashafterafewminutes,thereisnoconnectiontotheGSMnetwork.Inthiscase,
thenetworkqualityandfunctionoftheSIMcardmustbeinspectedattheproductsitewithaseparatemobilephone.
IftheGSMsignalisweak,theUSBportenergymaynotbesufcient.Inthiscase,theproductmustbeoperatedwith
an external voltage supply.
IfanerroroccurswhileconnectiontotheGSMnetworkisestablished,itissignalledwiththeerrorLED.Inthiscase,
activatethefrontbuttonformorethan5seconds.Furthermore,theSIMcard(PIN/PUK/activation)mustbeinspected
andthereceiverqualityatthedevicepositionmustbeveriedwithaseparatemobilephone.
 IfthedeviceusedtobeusedwithanotherSIMcard,thereistheoptionofthePINnumberintheproduct
beingchangedandnownolongermatchingthefactorysetting„1513“.Inthiscase,thedevicemustbe
reset to factory settings (section „Factory Reset“).
 TheSIMcardmayhavebeenlockedinthemeantimeandmustbeunlockedwiththePUK.Inthiscase,use
a separate mobile phone and unlock the SIM card.
