Growing Instructions
Strawberry Pail
Place the growing medium pellets in a large bowl. Add 3/4 cup of warm water. Allow the pellets to absorb
the water and fluff with a fork, adding more water if needed. Pour ¾ the growing medium into the
container, reserving the rest to cover the seeds. Carefully open seed packet over a paper towel or paper
plate. Strawberry seeds are very tiny; they may be lodged in the corners of the packet. Sprinkle seeds
evenly over the surface of the growing medium; lightly cover the seeds with a little of the remaining
growing medium. Place in a warm, sunny location. Use a fine mist or watering can to keep growing
medium moist, but not soggy. For enhanced results, we recommend placing seeds on top of a damp,
folded paper towel. Place the paper towel in a clear plastic bag and put in a sunny location for 15-20 days
allowing the seeds to germinate. Remoisten the towel if necessary. Once seedlings have sprouted,
carefully press the root into the growing medium with the sprout on top. Use a standard plant fertilizer
when your seedlings are 2”– 3” tall, following the instructions on the fertilizer packaging. For more
