Activates the Resize tool. A circular selection
indicator with a cross at the center is displayed.
To resize the current selection, drag the edge of
the selection indicator outwards (to enlarge the
selection) or inwards (to shrink the selection).
!CAUTION: BuzzEdit
does not
currently change the number of stitches in
the resized selection. Thus resizing a
design or part of a design by more than
about 10 or 20 percent can result in poor
sewing. When resizing, the mouse cursor
will change to an exclamation point if the
percent resize exceeds 20 percent.
By default, the center of resizing is at the center
of the selection. To change the center of the
resizing, drag the cross to the desired location
before you resize your selection.
You can switch between the selection’s
center and the custom center by pressing
the Custom Center button located on the
main toolbar.
Because you can change the center before you
resize, you have complete control the resizing
and positioning of your design.
Resize
The stitches located at the center of the resize
do not move; the rest of the selection grows or
shrinks away from this point. This behavior is
useful if you are trying to enlarge an area of the
design slightly to eliminate gaps between design
segments.
