Move a Selection in Time
For this example, we will be using the CSD file fiveapples.csd, which
is included with BuzzEdit
as a sample. The default location of this
file is C:\Program Files\Buzz Tools\BuzzEdit\Samples.
1 Choose the Lasso/Move tool and Make your Selection
In this example, we want the text to sew first. Use the lasso tool
in the Space display to select the text "5 Apples". This technique
is described on page 99 of this chapter. A selection indicator is
drawn around the selected stitches in the Time window.
The text is shown selected in time.
2 Drag to a New Location in Time
To grab the selection, position your mouse cursor on the Stitch
Color bar inside of the selection. When your mouse cursor is
correctly positioned, it will change to a pointing finger. Hold down
the primary mouse button and drag the selection horizontally
along the Stitch Color bar until it is just left of the Time display.
This will move the selected stitches to the very beginning of the
design where they will sew first.
The stitches are dragged in Time and dropped at the
very beginning of the design where they will sew first.
When you are re-ordering stitches in time, you can drag your
selection down into any of the other graphs to take advantage of
their particular features or "snap" characteristics.
