Move your mouse onto the small button on
the extreme right of the Time Reference bar.
This is the Time Zoom In button. Click the
button to zoom the Stitches-in-Time
graphs in on the current selection.
Select a Single Stitch
Sometimes when you edit a design, you will find that jumps between
design elements have the wrong stitch type attributed to them. Most
often, the stitch is defined as a normal “stitch” but should be set as a
“jump stitch”. The following exercise shows you how to modify the
stitch type set for an individual stitch.
1 Select a Needle Point
Use one of the following methods to position the stitch cursor on
the needle point of your choice. You need to select the needle
point directly in front of the stitch you want to select.
Option One: Using the Space Window
Magnify the desired area of the Space window so that the
needle points of the design are large enough to select
individually. (See directions on page 104).
You can select a single needle point in the Stitches-in-Space
window by clicking on or near the needle point with the Lasso
tool. If the wrong needle point is selected, use the Select
Next Lassoed command (Edit > Lasso > Select next
Lassoed) until the desired needle point is selected. You can
also adjust which needle point is selected by using the left
and right arrow keys to move forward and backward needle
point by needle point. The selected needle point is the stitch
cursor for the design.
Option Two: Using the Time Window
Zoom in on the desired area of the Time window so that the
stitches appear as individual lines (see Zoom in the Time
graphs on page 105). Position your mouse cursor in front of
the stitch you wish to select and click the primary mouse
button to move the stitch cursor to this location.
