2 Lasso the Bird
Imagine the Lasso tool is a piece of
string attached to your cursor at the
location of the crosshair. When you
click and hold down the primary
mouse button, the string is planted at
your starting point. Start at one side of
the bird and move the lasso in a circle
around the entire bird. Release the
mouse button when the border
surrounds the bird. If the entire bird is
not selected, simply click once
anywhere outside the selection box in
this window and try again.
The lasso is dragged
around the bird.
You don't have to follow the outline of the bird! Just make sure
that your lasso makes a nice "fence" all the way around it. You
know you have correctly selected the bird when it, and only it, is
drawn in color in the Space window.
3 Copy the Body of the Bird
Choose Edit > Copy to place a copy of the bird onto the
BuzzEdit
™
clipboard.
4 Open a New Workspace
Choose File > New Workspace to open a new BuzzEdit
™
workspace. Choose Start a New Design and then select the file
type of your choice. Your new BuzzEdit
™
workspace opens.
5 Paste the Body of the Bird
In the new BuzzEdit
™
workspace, choose Edit > Paste to paste
the body of the bird into the new design. DO NOT MOVE IT.
6 Switch Back to the Original Design
On the Microsoft
®
Windows Task Bar (located at the bottom of
your screen), choose the first copy of BuzzEdit
™
to activate this
