Initializing the system
You use the system initialization part of
the technician’s conversation to indicate
the settings that define basic system oper-
ations. You must indicate them before
moving on to other parts of the conver-
sation.
The specific tasks you do in the system
initialization part of the conversation are:
• Identifying the telephone system
• Choosing how the system answers calls
(the application method)
• Identifying extension numbers
• Identifying the operator’s extension
• Identifying the fax machine extension
• Setting fax notification
