Bushwacker only approves installing the bumper protector according

to these written instructions with the hardware provided. WARNING:

Failure to install according to these instructions will invalidate the

warranty. This includes, but is not limited to using alternative installation

methods, hardware, or materials. DO NOT USE: Loctite, SuperGlue, or

similar products on the hardware or the ﬂ ares.

Fit: Verify the ﬁ t of the ﬂ ares to vehicle. (Some ﬁ ling, sanding, or

cutting may be necessary to ensure proper ﬁ t).

Painting: (Optional) if paint is desired it must be done prior to installing

the bumper protector on vehicle. Clean outer surface with a good

grade degreaser. DO NOT USE LACQUER THINNER OR ENAMEL

REDUCER AS A DEGREASER. Wipe outer surface thoroughly with

a tack rag prior to paint. Application of plastic adhesion promoter for

ABS plastic as per your paint system manufacturer’s recommendations

is required. Paint ﬂ ares using a high quality enamel, or polyurethane

automotive paint. If painting edge trim (not recommended), use a ﬂ ex

additive.

Bumper Protector Installation Procedures: 1 Open rear door of vehicle. WITHOUT peeling liner from tape pads, align part on bumper, centering the center rib of the bumper guard with metal loop on striker. 2 Apply a piece of masking tape along both edges of part for ease of placement during installation. 3 Make sure that all installation surfaces are free of dirt and/or grease. Use a clean, lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol-based cleaner. 4 Peel red liner partially from tape pads.

7 Press the part into place starting at the left side, pushing downward and forward while working your way to the right. Apply 30 PSI to the taped areas for proper bond. Tape reached maximum adhesive bond after 24 hours of contact.
