STEP 1 – PRIOR TO INSTALLATION

Bushwacker only approves installing the Bumper Protector according

to these written instructions. WARNING: Failure to install according

to these instructions will invalidate the warranty. This includes, but

is not limited to using alternative installation methods, hardware, or

materials. DO NOT USE: Loctite, SuperGlue, or similar products on

the hardware or the ﬂ ares.

Fit: Verify the ﬁ t of the Bumper Protector to vehicle. (Some ﬁ ling,

sanding, or cutting may be necessary to ensure proper ﬁ t).

Painting: (Optional) if paint is desired it must be done prior to

installing the Bumper Protector on vehicle. Clean outer surface

with a good grade degreaser. DO NOT USE LACQUER THINNER

OR ENAMEL REDUCER AS A DEGREASER. Wipe outer surface

thoroughly with a tack rag prior to paint. Application of plastic adhesion

promoter for TPO plastic as per your paint system manufacturer’s

recommendations is required. Paint ﬂ ares using a high quality

enamel, or polyurethane automotive paint. If painting edge trim (not

recommended), use a ﬂ ex additive.

Bumper Protector Installation Procedures: 1 2 Striker Latch Location Short Center Rib Open rear door of vehicle. Make sure that all installation surfaces are free of dirt and/or grease. Use a clean, lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol based cleaner. Using a nylon tool, remove the four factory plastic fasteners in the bumper threshold. Retain these fasteners for later use. 3 Apply a piece of masking tape along the driver side edge of part for ease of placement during installation.

7 Maintaining part placement, repeat process for final white tab liner. 8 Press the part into place starting at the left side, pushing downward and forward while working your way to the right. Apply 30 PSI to the taped areas for proper bond. Tape reached maximum adhesive bond after 24 hours of contact.
