Press top of button 1 to raise
the windshield.
Press bottom of button 1 to
lower the windshield.
Switching off the ignition

The windshield automatically
moves to the lower end posi-
tion.
If the windshield encounters re-
sistance before reaching the
end position, the pressure-
sensitive finger guard system
activates. The windshield is
stopped and moves upwards
slightly. After several seconds,
the windshield will attempt to
move to the end position again.
Ensure clearance of the wind-
shield.
The windshield does not au-
tomatically move to the lower
end position.

Move windshield to the upper
and lower end positions using
button 1.

The range of adjustment of
the windshield is calibrated.
The windshield does not re-
spond to pressing the but-
ton 1.
Please contact a specialist
workshop, preferably an au-
thorized BMW Motorrad re-
tailer.
If a windshield has been in-
stalled that is not approved by
BMW Motorrad, correct func-
tioning of the anti-trap mecha-
nism cannot be guaranteed.
In this case: Ensure the clear-
ance of the windshield before
switching off the ignition.
