3.3 Caravan Couplings

3.3.1 AL-KO AK 160

The coupling mechanism has an "Open posi-

tion". As long as the caravan coupling is not

placed on top of the implement coupling, the

coupling handle remains open.

Place the open caravan coupling (Fig. 1) on

the towing vehicle caravan ball. The cara-

van coupling now locks automatically and

audibly in place.

In addition, push the coupling handle

(Fig. 1,1) down with your hand (not with

your foot). Closing and securing is carried

out automatically.

Conduct a visual inspection: the green point

on the safety indicator (Fig. 1,2) must be

visible.
