This chapter describes how to acquire a stress test ECG.

In the event of a treadmill touch panel failure, use the system keyboard to control the
treadmill.

In the event a failure prevents CareCenter MD from stopping the treadmill, the treadmill can
be stopped manually. All treadmills controlled by CareCenter MD must have an emergency
stop switch functionality.

Before using any stress test device, ensure the stress test device has been properly installed
and that regular maintenance checks occur on the device.
Caution: Stress device malfunction.
Faulty installation, sudden loss of power, damaged cables, or a faulty device can cause
sudden changes in load or speed during the stress test. Monitor all patients when using a
stress device.
Caution: Misdiagnosis.
Entering erroneous parameters will result in erroneous readings or result in a premature end
of the test. Be sure to enter the correct data.
