Detailed procedures
Start the recovery phase
To stop the exercise:
◆ Click Start Recovery or press F2.
The system changes to the recovery phase of the stress test.
• For a Treadmill—the speed and the slope are set to the values selected for recovery.
• For a Bicycle—the load is set to the value selected for recovery.
The system prompts you to enter an abort reason.
a. Click Stop exercise to enter the recovery phase and stop the test.
b. Click Resume exercise to go back into the exercise stage.
If the exercise phase is not stopped prematurely, the system automatically changes to
the recovery phase.
End the stress test

Caution: Patient injury
To prevent injury from the treadmill stopping suddenly, always inform the patient before
stopping the treadmill.
◆ Click End Test or press F2.
The stress test is finished. The ECG is displayed for review.
Configuration Options
Add new entries to the list of
abort reasons
• Select File | Options… | 12 Lead ECG | Abort Reasons.
Allow the current stage to
complete and then move to
the recovery phase
1. Select File | Options … | 12 Lead ECG | Test procedures.
2. Select the test procedure.
3. Select the Exercise Settings tab and select Always
complete current stage on end of exercise under protocol.
Note: When the system prompts for an abort reason, click Stop
and the end of the stage.
