Acquire a Stress Test ECG
Start the stress test
!
Caution: Patient injury
To prevent injury from the treadmill starting unexpectedly or at the wrong speed, always
have the patient straddle or stand on the side of the treadmill until the treadmill is running at
the correct speed. Never start the treadmill with the patient on the treadmill.
To start the stress test:
1. Click Start Test or press F2.
The button is only active if no electrode errors are indicated.
The system exits the electrode application scheme and changes to the resting phase of
stress test.
The ECG is saved from the start of the stress test until the end.
2. If electrode errors are indicated and the orange Start Test button is disabled, you can
still start the test.
a. Click Start Test or press Ctrl + S.
In this case, the analysis program is not available. The system displays a message.
b. Click Work without measurement.
3. Observe the system until the system indicates an averaged beat.
4. To repeat the averaged beat calculation if the quality of the indicated averaged beat is
insufficient click Relearn.
If the signal is very distorted or if the electrodes are incorrect, the system displays an
error message.
a. Check all 12 lead channels to improve the signal quality.
b. Click on Retry to restart the averaged beat calculation.
Alternatively, you can start the whole exercise without the measurement program. In
this case, the system does not perform ST calculations. There is no arrhythmia analysis
and no beat classification. The Arrhythmia and Averaged Beat panels remain empty.
5. If the gender and the age of the patient has not been entered, the system displays an
error, click Edit patient data and retry.
