7. Remove the stock intake tube as a single piece and set it
aside.
8. Remove the CCV tube.
a. Rotate the tube until you can see clip that holds it to the
CCV breather.
b. Carefully push the clip over and out (The clip can easily
be broken), noting the location of the tube for later.
9. Remove the stock air lter box.
a. Pull up on the end of the stock air lter box.
b. The rubber grommets should pop o the bottom of the
stock air lter box, remaining on the mounting plate.
4. Loosen the band clamps at both ends of the intake tube.
You do not need to completely disconnect the clamps, just
loosen them enough to remove the tube. (Use a at-head
screwdriver.)
5. Disconnect the crank case vent (CCV) tube.
a. Locate the connection. (It is labeled in the photograph
on page 5).
b. Grasp the plastic plug on the end of the CCV tube and
pull it straight away from the stock intake tube. (It is
held in place by a rubber O-ring and should come out
easily.)
6. Detach the coolant line by pushing the barb connector o
the tube.
