POST Error Messages
When the POST detects an error, it displays an error message on the display unit screen. The following table lists the
error messages, their descriptions, and the actions to take.
IMPORTANT: Note the messages that are displayed before consulting with your service
representative. Alarm messages include useful information for maintenance.

0200 Failure Fixed Disk. Contact your service representative.
0210 Stuck Key. Disconnect the keyboard and connect it again.
0211 Keyboard error
Disconnect the keyboard and connect it again. If it
does not correct the error, contact your service
representative.
0213 Keyboard locked - Unlock key switch.
Release the lock of the key switch. If it does not correct
the error, contact your service representative.
0220
Monitor type does not match CMOS - Run
SETUP.
Start the SETUP.. If it does not correct the error, contact
your service representative.
0230 System RAM Failed at offset.
0231 Shadow Ram Failed at offset.
0232 Extended RAM Failed at address line.
Contact your service representative.
0250
System battery is dead - Replace and run
SETUP.
Contact your service representative to replace the
battery. (After restarting the computer, start the SETUP
to provide the settings again.)
0251
System CMOS checksum bad - Default
configuration used.
The default values have just been set. Start the SETUP
to provide the settings again. If it does not correct the
error, contact your service representative.
0252
Password checksum bad - Passwords
cleared.
The password has just been cleared. Start the SETUP to
provide the settings again.
0260 System timer error.
0270 Real time clock error.
0271 Check date and time setting.
Start the SETUP to set the date and time again. If the
error occurs successively in spite of the resetting,
contact your service representative.
0280
Previous boot incomplete - Default
configuration used.
Start the SETUP to provide the settings again.
0281
Memory size found by POST differed from
EISA CMOS.
Initialize the EISA CMOS.
02D0 System cache error - Cache disabled.
The cache cannot be used. Contact your service
representative.
