Updating the System

After installing Microsoft

Windows Server

2008, we recommend you to update your

system by following the steps in this chapter.

Caution

You should update your system if you have:

■ Changed the system configuration (Added or removed

optional built-in devices: If you are prompted to restart the

system after the system configuration has been changed,

click No, and update the system.)

■ Recovered the system by using a recovery process

■ Restored the system by using a backup tool

1. Log on to the system using an administrator account and insert the

ExpressBuilder disc into your drive.

2. Depending on your Windows 2008 installation:

- Full installation:

Run

\00x\W2K8\drivers\driverset\winnt\bin\oschk\oschk.bat", and click OK.

- Server Core installation:

1. Enter the following command from the command prompt:

cd ‘Optical disc drive letter’:\00x\W2K8\DRIVERS\DRIVER-

SET\winnt\bin\oschk.\

2. Enter the following command and click Enter: oschk.bat.

Note: in \00x\, x is a variable.
