In this example, we will change the name and password of user#5 and enable it.
User Name and password
To change the name and password of a user, run the following command:
Syntax:syscfg /user <user#> <new-name> <new password>
Example: syscfg /user 5 bmcuser bmcpassword
Enable User
Ensure that the user is enabled:
Syntax:syscfg /ue <user#> <enable/disable> <channel#>
Example: syscfg /ue 1 enable 1
Now view the new configuration:
With the IP address and User IDs configured and enabled, an IPMI-based management
system can now communicate directly with the BMC.
