Installing or Removing a 3.5-inch Floppy Disk Drive
Removing a 3.5-inch Floppy Disk Drive
1. Remove the right side door. See “Removing the Right Side Door” on page 139.
2. Remove the front panel. See “Removing the Front Panel” on page 141.
3. Disconnect the cables from the floppy disk drive.
4. Press both slide rails ends to release the floppy disk drive
5. Pull the floppy disk drive out of the frame.
6. Replace the front panel. See “Replacing the Front Panel” on page 141.
7. Replace the right side door. See “Replacing the Right Side Door” on page 140.
8. Set the floppy disk drive aside.
Installing a 3.5-inch Floppy Disk Drive
1. Remove the right side door. See “Removing the Right Side Door” on page 139.
2. Remove the front panel. See “Removing the Front Panel” on page 141.
3. Take two slide rails marked as “FDD”. Slide rails come with the system in a
plastic bag.
4. Attach the slide rails to the holes on both sides of the floppy disk drive.

5. Slide in the floppy disk drive.
6. Connect the data cable to the floppy disk drive with the marked edge toward
pin 1 of the drive.
7. Connect the power cable to the drive.
8.
Replace the front panel.

9. Replace the right side door. See “Removing the Right Side Door” on page 139.
