Adapter Fault Tolerance (AFT)/ Adaptive Load
Balancing (ALB)
Adapter Fault Tolerance (AFT) provides network adapter redundancy by creating a
team of adapters. If any adapter fails, another in the team automatically takes over.
Adaptive Load Balancing (ALB) improves the overall network throughput by equally
balancing data traffic among a team of adapters.
You can configure AFT and ALB using the standard and optional network adapters.
Caution
■ Adapter Fault Tolerance (AFT) and Adaptive Load Balancing
(ALB) are not available when Server Core is in use.
■ Be sure to configure AFT and ALB after you boot the system
following the driver installation.
