Setting Hot Spare
Described below are procedures based on assumption:
Add a Hard Disk Drive to a RAID5 VD configured with three Hard Disk Drives and assign a newly added Hard Disk Drive as
Hot Spare Disk.
1. Start WebBIOS.
Make sure that the status for the added Hard Disk Drive is indicated as "Unconfigured Good" in the right frame of
the Top Menu.
2. Select the newly connected Hard Disk Drive (the Hard Disk Drive in slot number 3 in the example) from the right
frame of Top Menu.
3. The properties for the Physical Drive are displayed.
