3.3.2.2.1 ESX Virtual Platform
To configure an ESX Virtual Platform, click the VMware ESX link in the Virtualization part of
the Topology domain. The list of all configured platforms appears, as in the following
example:

It is possible:
• To create a new ESX Virtual Platform using the New button
• To edit or delete a resource using the Edit link
• To edit a virtual machine using the <hostname> link.
When you click the New button, the following display appears with all resource properties:

Besides the characteristics (name and description) of the main object, the properties of an
ESX virtual platform are divided into three
parts:
• ESX Server Host: used to define the physical machine and the native OS.
