Preselecting an Event Filter
An event filter must be selected for all event subscriptions. The event messaging system is
delivered with a set of predefined filters. Before proceeding to set up an event subscription,
you are advised to check which predefined filter is adapted to your needs:
1. Click Configuration Tasks → Events → Filters in the PAM tree. The filter configuration
page opens.

2. Check that the required filter is present.
You may also define a specific filter by using the comprehensive event message filtering
utility. See Creating an Event Filter, on page 5-50.
