9. Escala T430 and T450 Server
Escala T430 discontinued as of 31/12/2000

9.1. Technical Features
The Escala T430 model features a single PowerPC RS64-II processor at 262 MHz. It contains 64 KB
of internal cache and 4 MB L2 cache for fast data transfer between the processor and memory.
The Escala T450 model features a single PowerPC RS64-III processor at 400 MHz. It contains 128 KB
of internal cache and 4 MB L2 cache for fast data transfer between the processor and memory.
These models also include a SCSI-2 Ultra Wide bus for media and an Ultra2 SCSI bus for disks, 4
memory slots (a riser memory board can be plugged on each memory slot), 9 I/O slots (8 PCI slots and
1 shared PCI/ISA slot), and 5 disks/media Areas (the Area N°1 is reserved for media, the Area N°2 is
configurable either for media or for disks, the other Areas are reserved for disks).
Up to 2 media, 2 disks (1.6" high) or 3 disks (1" high) can be plugged on one Area.
The maximum memory configurable is 8 GB (8x1GB).
The maximum internal disk capacity is 218.4GB (12x18.2GB) using 4 Areas in the base cabinet.
This maximum disk capacity is 655.2GB (3x12x18.2GB) using 2 expansion disk cabinets.
