This 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet PCI adapter is a Full Duplex Gigabit Ethernet adapter designed
with highly integrated components to optimize cost and performance. The adapter interfaces to the
system via the PCI buss and connects to the network using a 4-pair CAT-5 Unshielded Twisted Pair
(UTP) cable for distances of up to 100m. The 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet PCI Adapter supports
jumbo frames for full duplex Fast & Gigabit Ethernet.
The 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet PCI Adapter supports the following:

Provides one full-duplex 1000Base- T UTP connection with autonegotiation capability to a Gigabit
Ethernet LAN
•
Supports 10/100 Mbps using half and full-duplex, autonegotiation capable
•
Uses a 4-pair CAT-5 Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cable for distances up to 100m
•
Four LED adapter status indicators for data and 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps indicators
•
33 MHz through 66 MHz PCI bus speeds
•
1MB on-card FIFO for transmit and receive.
Limitations: The AIX Network Install Manager (NIM) boot is not supported with this adapter.
The 1000 Mbps speed is not supported in Half Duplex (HDX) mode.
