4.1. Diskette Drives
4.1.1. 3.5-Inch 1.44MB Diskette Drive
A 1.44 MB 3-1/2 inch diskette drive is standard on all Escala system units.
It also supports the 720 KB format.
Attachment
The drive attaches to the system using an internal cable to the diskette controller in the system unit.
4.1.2. 3.5-Inch 1.44MB Diskette Drive (DDUG002 for PL420T)
A 1.44 MB 3-1/2 inch diskette drive (black bezel) is an option for Escala PL420T.
It also supports the 720 KB format.
Attachment
The controller fits into a single dedicated Media open bay for Disquette/DVD-RAM or tape drive
(optional).

4.1.3. 3.5-Inch 1.44MB Slimline Diskette Drive (DDUG003 for PL240T)
Diskette drive (Black bezel) with storage capacity up to 1.44 MB on a high density (2HD) floppy disk
and 720 KB on a double density floppy disk. Low power consumption: 1.5 W typical (read/write
mode) and amber color LED in-use indicator.The detailed physical dimensions are:
height 21.1 mm (.83 inch); width 139.9 mm (5.51 inches); depth 83.8 mm (3.3 inches).
