Case study: cluster configuration with PowerConsole
The recommendation for this type of configuration is to install Navisphere Manager for AIX on the
PowerConsole itself. The private network for cluster management can be used, when available. Else
the Manager / Agent exchanges will use the enterprise LAN.

4.3.3. Prerequisites
Bull Navisphere Manager requires:
A graphic terminal or console connected to the server on which it is located, or an X11 terminal.
AIX 4.3.2 or later.
4.3.4. Licensing
The Navisphere agents are licensed components. A license is mandatory for each agent, regardless of
the number of DAS managed by the agent.
The Navisphere Manager can operate in local mode without specific license (except the agent's one).
Licenses are mandatory to operate in distributed mode. The license defines the maximum number of
managed Navisphere agents. The pricing depends on the number of managed agents. The number of
managed agents is dedicated to a single Navisphere Manager, and can not be shared with other
Navisphere Managers that could be deployed by the customer.
