14. Escala E & T Series: Native High Availability Solutions
Escala E & T models have been designed to provide high availability, and numerous reliability and
serviceability features. The native high availability solution is not available on the T610, and the
Tower PL Series.
These models use high availability technologies as:
•
ECC for memory and on all data and address paths
•
System monitoring
•
Hot-Swap disks
•
Optional internal RAID
•
Redundant power supply
•
Native HA and HA with shared Disks Cabinet or RAID DAS Cabinet
The Native HA provides a unique high availability level for the Customer Applications and Data.
The internal Disks of the Escala Model can be mirrored on the internal Disks of another Escala Model.
In the Native HA architecture, there is no need of a dedicated RAID DAS Cabinet.
