Indicates hard drive subsystem fault status.
LED State Description
Off Drive Missing Slot Empty, Online, Prepare for
removal.
On Inactive Drive Failed
F Hard Drive Fault LED (Amber)
Blinking Drive Identity, Rebuild,
Predictive Fail, Rebuild
Interrupt or Rebuild on empty
slot.
Indicates LAN activity status.
LED State Description
Off Idle
On Inactive No Access
G, H LAN1, LAN2 Status LEDs

Peripheral Bay
The peripheral bay supports up to two 1-inch hot-swap Ultra320 SCSI hard drives and one ½-
inch ATA-33 IDE DVD/CD-ROM drive.
The peripheral bay supports Low Voltage Differential (LVD) SCSI disk drives only. Single-
Ended (SE) SCSI devices are not supported in the peripheral bay, however SE device support is
available via the secondary external SCSI channel located at the rear of the chassis.
