started

Power on your tube amp,
and switch the amp into
Standby mode while
making connections.
Choose an appropriate Ohm
rating to match both the
amplier’s Ohm setting and
the speaker cabinets Ohm
rating. For example, if the speaker cabinet
is rated at 4 Ohms, make sure to use the “4
Ω” AMP INPUT jack, and make sure your
amplier is also set to run at 4 Ohms.
Run a speaker cable from the
amplier’s speaker output to
the AMP INPUT jacks on the
back of the PS1.
ATTENTION! To avoid
damage to your amp,
never use a valve
amplier without a
load connected, such as PS1 and/or
a loudspeaker!
Run another speaker cable
from the SPEAKER output
jack to the speaker cabinet’s
input.
Always use loudspeaker
cables for connection
between the amplier
and the loudspeaker.
Never use other types of cable such as
instrument cable and microphone
cable.
Run an XLR cable from the
EMULATED MIC output to
your mixing board channel
inputs if you wish to record
or perform with a buered direct signal
rather than using a microphone.
Run a standard line-level ¼"
TS cable from the LINE
output to additional
amplier’s or other outboard
gear for further processing. The signal
from the LINE output is not treated with
speaker/mic simulation.
For minimal volume, set the
SOAK and LINE knobs to 0
(full counter-clockwise).
Connect your guitar to the
amp input, and then switch
the amp from Standby mode
to ON.
While playing, turn amp
volume and SOAK up slowly,
until you nd a good balance
between volume and the
tonal characteristics of your amp.
NOTE: Even with the SOAK control turned
up to 100 (full clockwise) the eective
power at the speaker will be about half of
the amplier output power.
If you are running a signal
from the LINE output, turn
the LINE knob clockwise
until you nd the correct
gain for your additional
outboard equipment.

espera (Standby) en el
amplicador mientras
realiza las conexiones.
Elija un valor de ohmios

del recinto acústico.

de altavoz para las
conexiones entre el
amplicador y el recinto
acústico. No utilice nunca otros tipos
de cables, tales como cables de
instrumento o de micrófono.
Coloque un cable con clavijas
XLR desde la salida
EMULATED MIC a las
entradas de canal de su
mesa de mezcla si es que quiere grabar o
interpretar con una señal directa
modulada en lugar de usar un micrófono
directamente.
Coloque un cable con clavija
TS de 6,3 mm standard y
nivel de línea desde la salida
LINE a otro amplicador o
equipo externo para un mayor procesado.
La señal de la salida LINE no se ve afectada
por ninguna simulación de recinto
acústico/micrófono.
Para un volumen mínimo,
ajuste los mandos SOAK y
LINE a la posición 0
(tope izquierdo).
Conecte su guitarra a la
entrada del amplicador y
después cambie el
amplicador del modo de
espera (Standby) a encendido (ON).
Mientras toca, suba
lentamente el volumen del
amplicador y el mando
SOAK, hasta que encuentre
un buen balance entre el volumen y las
características tonales de su amplicador.
NOTA: Incluso con este control SOAK en
su valor máximo de 100 (tope derecho)
la potencia efectiva en el altavoz será de
aproximadamente la mitad de la potencia
de salida del amplicador.
Si está emitiendo una señal
por la salida LINE, gire el
mando LINE a la derecha
hasta que consiga una
ganancia correcta para sus dispositivos
externos adicionales.
