register (the personality currently in effect). Data
includes a checksum value that must evaluate correctly
or the uploaded data will be replaced with factory
defaults when the register is recalled.
THE SWITCH OPTION
The switch option is enabled by connecting the VTC-4000 panel to an optional RM-4000-S or RM-4000-S-L switch
type Remote Processor. The number of devices that can be controlled is reduced from ten to six. Six additional
RS-422 ports can be connected to additional external controllers. Control of each device is switched between the
VTC-4000 and the external controllers by holding F10 or F9 while tapping the F1-F6 keys. When control of a
device is released to an external controller, the red (right) LED above the device’s F-key flashes at a medium rate.
