Final start-up procedures

▶ Carefully wipe away the soapy water to prevent corrosion caused by
the alkaline content of the soap.
Checking the vent damper
▶ Check the position of the vent damper. The damper must be fully
open (vertical). When burner is on flue gases must not escape from
the open draft hood.

Checking aquastat
Check the function of the maximum aquastat to make sure that it
switches the boiler off as soon as the boiler water temperature set at the
aquastat is reached. Record the result in the start-up protocol.
▶ Set aquastat to its desired setting.
▶ Replace front door and close.
