4.2.1.2 Typeofliquid
Thetypeofliquidbeingatomizedstronglyinfluencestheminimumpowerlevel.
Moreviscousliquidsorliquidswithhighsolidscontentgenerallyincreasethe
minimumpowerrequirement.
4.2.1.3 Flowrate
Theflowratealsoplaysaroleindeterminingminimumpowerlevel.Foragiven
nozzle,thehighertheflowrate,thehigherwillbethepowerrequired,sincethe
nozzleworksharderastheflowrateincreases.
4.2.1.4 Coolinggasfornozzle
Thespraygas,providedbytheB290,servesascoolinggasfortheultrasonic
nozzle.Itisconnectedtotheconnector“In”forthecompressedcoolinggason
topofthenozzle,whilethe“Out”connectorisleftopen.
Theflowrateofthespraygasandthusthetemperatureofthenozzlecanbe
adjustedwiththeneedlevalveattheflowmeteroftheB290.
Thetemperatureoftheultrasonicnozzle(asshownontheupperdisplayofthe
ultrasoniccontroller)shouldalwaysbekeptbelow100°Cotherwiseanalarm
willbetriggered.
