7.5 Laser unit replacement
The LASER unit needs to be replaced at failure. This action can be performed by a trained operator or
(preferably) by a service technician.

WARNING
Risk electric shock and burns by remaining high-voltage load at the LASER module
Do not disconnect the white plug from the laser power supply•

NOTICE
Risk of optical misalignment and damage at the LASER module.
Do not touch the optical surfaces of the module•
Handle the module with care i.e. do not expose the module to heavy impacts•
Handle the module at the base plate only•
To replace the laser, proceed as follows:
Loosen the two screws on the left rear of the •
instrument approximately 3-5 turns.
Remove the cover.•
For easy release of the laser housing it is recom-
mended to slightly tilt the housing and then pull
it horizontally away from the instrument. There
is a built-in sensor to record the opening of the
housing.
