Installation manual
USING THE SENSOR SOCKET [P]
• If control of the circulation pump is not required no confi gurator should be
inserted in the socket.
• If the circulation pump must be controlled either for the heating function
or for the cooling function and the same pump will be used for the two
functions, insert confi gurator 1 in [P]. Then connect the pump to an
actuator confi gured in zone 00 ([ZA] = 0, [ZB] = 0) and insert confi gurator
1 in socket [N] (see actuator confi guration).
• If the pump must only be controlled for the heating function, insert
confi gurator 2 in socket [P] and connect the pump to an actuator
confi gured in zone 00 with [N] = 1, (see actuator confi guration).
• If the pump must only be controlled for the cooling function, insert
confi gurator 3 in [P] and connect the pump to an actuator confi gured in
zone 00 with [N] = 2 (see actuator confi guration).
• If two separate pumps must be controlled, one for the heating function
and one for the cooling function, insert confi gurator 4 in [P]. Then connect
the heating pump to an actuator confi gured in zone 00 with [N] = 1, and
the cooling pump to an actuator confi gured in zone 00 with [N] = 2 (see
actuator confi guration).
PUMP SWITCHING ON DELAY
When the system has a circulation pump managed by the Temperature
control function, it may be necessary to insert a confi gurator in the [DEL]
socket of the temperature sensor as well. This operation is only performed
if the pump is to switch on with a certain delay after the zone valves open.
This choice depends on the type of valve installed and allows switching on
the pump only when the valve is completely open.
Insert the confi gurator corresponding to the delay required in the [DEL]
socket. In this case the number shown on the confi gurator indicates the time
in minutes. If confi gurator 3 is inserted in [DEL], after closing the relay which
commands valve opening, the sensor waits for 3 minutes before switching
on the pump.
A delay of a maximum of nine minutes can be confi gured, depending on the
time the valves need to open. Refer to the technical specifi cations declared
by the solenoid valve manufacturer to fi nd out the opening time.
