3. Press the cd key to select the power saving mode and set the selection range to ON/OFF.
Note: ON-turns on the power saving mode; OFF-turns off the power saving mode.
4. Press the [MENU] key to confirm your selections.

key to exit the menu mode.
Time Out Timer (TOT) - MENU 11
The TOT function is used to prevent too long of a transmission. This function temporarily blocks
transmissions if the radio has been used beyond the maximum time permitted. Once maximum time is
reached, the radio will be forced in reception mode. The transmission time can be set in 6 levels with 30
seconds each (between 30 and 180 seconds).
To set a TOT level:
1. Press the [MENU] key to enter the main menu, press the cd key to enter the MENU 11.
2. Press the [MENU] key again to enter the TOT menu.
3. Press the cd key to select the transmission time limit, the selection range is
OFF/30S/60S/90S/120S/150S/180S.
4. Press the [MENU] key to confirm your selections.
5. Press the [
WX
] key to cancel your selections.
6. Press the [PTT]
key to exit the menu mode.
