Never use other batteries or conventional alkaline batteries. They could lead to a short circuit or destroy the battery casing. Recommended batteries should have a power rating of at least 600mAh 1.2V.

Note SETTING UP Plan where you will put your Diverse 3010 Executive. It should be within two metres of a power socket and the phone socket.

You must only use approved batteries. To install them, insert the batteries as indicated on the inside of the battery compartment or in the picture below. Slide the battery compartment cover shut.

However, new NiCad batteries do not reach their full capacity until they have been in normal use for several days. It means the handset is either out of range or is not registered with the base station.

This lets you keep your hands free, for example to take notes. It also enables others in the room to hear and join in the call.

If the other handset is already engaged, or does not answer the call within 30 seconds, the call will be returned to your handset.

You can use the Phone Book to look up names and numbers and dial directly. Entering names and numbers There are three lines in your display for entering information.

If you are on a call and you also subscribe to a Call Waiting service, the second incoming call number will appear on the handset display and you will hear an intermittent beep through the handset.

When planning to use a handset at more than one base station, it is recommended that you: MULTIPLE • Assign a number to each base station, from 1 to 4. • Number each handset (1 to 6) registered at each base station.
